Chic's astonishing mix of raw soul, superb musicianship and laid back grace has a certain kind of energy that keeps you coming back for more. Pulling from traditional music and updating it for a new generation, Chic has become a favorite on stages across the United States for years.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Chic picked up the guitar at age 12. Playing in a duo act for a short time, it wasn’t long before she took the plunge as a solo artist, quickly making a name for herself and capturing the attention of audiences with her vibrant musical soul. With a nod to influences of the past and present, including Melissa Etheridge, Beth Hart, Anthony Gomes, Todd Snider and others, Chic's passion for music can be seen and felt in every performance.
After a stellar performance at the Sheldon Concert Hall in March of 2002, Chic hit the road in her RV playing festivals, clubs and concerts across the U.S. and beyond. A mainstay on the rock, folk, blues, and country circuit, she's opened for Son Seals and A.J. Croce (Jim Croce's son), has been a featured performer on five separate cruises, and has played top clubs and festivals throughout country including LA Pride and RVing Woman's Convention. She has also filmed two music videos (I Told You So and I Still Got the Blues for You), and has released nine studio recorded CD's.
Chic favors a clean sound, genuine soul, and meaningful connection with her audience. Music is not only what she does, but defines who she is and reminds her where she wants to be: performing.
